VODACOM, HOW CAN I HELP YOU!

I feel sorry for the call centre guys. you can actually hear in their voice their thoughts that they must be being punished for something that they did in a previous life to land up in this job! Anyone who has worked in complaints will empathise with my opinion. I'm not sure which frustration with Vodacom should I prioritise. The beyond rude assistant at Alberton Mall, Vodacom shop (just one idiot amongst a good team and this spoils the whole mood). Maybe it was when my father said that inexplicably he was "all of a sudden" paying for an extra contract, that after reporting this was treated as if he was the vile ******** and he had to go out of his way to prove his innocence.......only a few months later and it was my turn! At least we received a letter of apology but no follow up on whether the culprits were apprehended or ********** activity nipped in the bud. I think however its this last incident where I can only blame myself for allowing all logic to blow through the window and accepted a Vodacom rep to twist my arm and go for Vodacom fibre. The lady said if I have a vodacom contract all she needs is one number and the application will be a breeze. I told her it is from a data ****le but as it was only for reference purposes "that would be fine". So between Vodacom and this rep, this number became my contact number which thus resulted in nobody being able to contact me............as it is a data ****le, for games, for my son. Perhaps I was on the wrong site but you can't email a fibre complaint through, you have to phone your issue in. However after every portion of the fibre installation taking place way later than the stated dates, complaint calls back and forth, escalations, bla bla bla and still not having a working fibre line after, I believe, 2 months, it was not very easy to compose myself enough to now speak to a complaints consultant as I was holding back many a blasphemous word. It wasn't the consultant's fault after all and this is now after "my complaints have been escalated" nogal. Oh yes, a technician did come through fiddled around, made a couple of calls and viola I had fibre............. just long enough to log in.............. but not enough time to write the log in password down. By then the technician's bakkie was out of my yard, me smiling waves good bye, only to get back to my desk and the fibre is off again. After a few days, a week, maybe more without fibre, from then on I decided to cut my ties with Vodacom and cancelled my contract. Took a couple of days searching for a reliable provider, decided upon and app**** for a Vox package, process started......... and all my little LED's that I had been watching for so many weeks shone like little stars on my Vodacom router. Okay, okay, cancel Vox ( I think they were a little peeved with me.......apologies). After all enough down time for my little business, time to catch up. But wow the fibre is slower than my MTN cell's hotspot? granted more than one device but surely it should be faster. So let me check by logging in then I can check the speed. Okay I forgot the password but hey I can change that. EXCEPT my OTP's are being sent to my data ****le, lets phone complaints line. And now a quick run down on the convo: Me, "I need to change my contact number so that I can recieve OTP's please" Vod, "I'm afraid that is not possible you will have to dergister.". Me "okay cool how do I deregister, there is no deregister button?" Vod"please wait ....music...., you will need to (now get this) take the sim out and insert it into a phone". Me" Don't be silly, I cant do that the sim is too big."Vod "Please hold on.......music....., Unfortunately this is your only solution." Me "Um no I can also cancel my contract with Vodacom." Vod "aah you can also do that". In google search don't bother typing in Vodacom complaints, it is too overwhelming to take in. Now I think I have been, all in all, with Vodacom since 2003, about. Very, very sad. Also sad because I know that I am only venting now and I can put money on it that Vodacom will do sweet blue........all about it! Companies closing down left, right and centre and this is Vodacom's solution?
