Vodacom hasn't cancelled the contract of a person who's been dead for almost a year

For reference, here is my original post: https://www.hellopeter.com/vodacom/reviews/disgusting-customer-service-122e57f5e4e25bed935aba16c56fea26b***

If I could give zero stars, I would.

My mom passed away last year and my dad contacted vodacom by going to the store on the 4th of January of this year. He provided the death certificate and bank statements and all that was needed.

Over the next few months, we have been contacted numerous times, gone to the store numerous times, emailed *** NUMEROUS times with the same documentation. And, yet, you persist to harass us.

It has now been 223 days since my dad originally went to alter the contract to keep the number and this is still not sorted out. In fact, we do not want the number anymore. Whatever makes it easiest for us to just be rid of your insufferable incompetence.

As a side note: When my dad last went into the store to cancel the contract, the person assisting him called the relevant person for handling deceased customers and that person put the phone down in his ear and kept "losing connection". The person assisting my dad said that this was a "known trick" to avoid dealing with these situations.

This kind of nonsense is precisely why most of my family is no longer with vodacom and why I actively tell people to avoid you. You're not a provider, you're a ****.

Now, how do we close my mom's account? As long as this issue persists, I will keep posting negative reviews.
