vodacom has zero reception during load shedding

I reside in Langebaan on the westcoast. I am a prepaid Vodacom Customer. During our wonderful Load shedding sessions of late there is ZERO reception with Vodacom. Like Zero!!!! When i called their customer service they told me it was due to load shedding and that this was out their hands. However i have a neighbor who is also a prepaid customer with vodacom who happens to live right next door and he has full reception and usage of his phone. He can make and receive calls during load shedding!! So my question to vodacom is how is this possible?? Please explain how some people have reception and others do not during load shedding!! I would really love to know and something tells me that i am not the only one! My partner is with cell C and he never has issues during load shedding so i am hoping that you can sort this issue out for me otherwise i will have no regrets moving to Cell C as my new , relaible service provider! I look forward to hearing from you Vodacom.
