Vodacom has ****** R 1349 from me

Vodacom how do I get hold of someone who can help me because at the moment, I'm considering myself a victim of corporate theft.

Let me explain.

I had a few rough months leading up to December and my account ended up being in arrears. Your team is extremely good when they're trying to get money from me so they called and explained what I owed and we made an arrangement for a debit order to run the full amount of what I owed. The debit order ran and the money came off of my account late in the evening on the 17th of December 2025. On the same day, I received an SMS from vodacom telling me to honor what I had agreed to pay, so in order to make sure that I kept my end of the deal, I went into your Bedfordview Branch and paid it in person. I was unaware that they were going to debit my account the same day that I paid what was owed, now I'll take some responsibility for that, I probably should have waited before paying it in store. So I ended up paying twice for one thing.

I went back to the same Vodacom store in Bedford Centre and was deeply dissatisfied by how unfriendly the staff were when I asked for a refund, and instead of helping me in person, I was told to call the call center and send an e-mail (I understand there are processes and procedures in place). But much to my surprise and dissatisfaction no one has been able to actually help me.

I've been sent an account statement that says my account is no longer in arrears and the amount that was debited from my account is the only amount showing on the statement. Which brings me to my dilemma.

What have you done with the rest of my Money?

I sent proof of 2 transactions to the value of R1349 and a few cents from my account to vodacom, namely the debit order and the amount I paid in store. At this point after providing proof of both of my transactions I have had no further communication from you, the last mail I received was on the 7th of January with the above mentioned account statement. Now of course your statement is going to show that you debited me and nothing is owing, what happened to the other transaction, did it land in someone's pocket? Get lost on the internet? Or maybe it was the fairies *****ing from you.

Unfortunately, whether it was taken by fairies, went missing on the internet or landed in one of your staff members pockets is not my problem.

My problem is that I have paid you twice for one transaction and I can't find anyone who can give me my money back or even help me in the slightest.

I have been a client of Vodacom for more than a decade, and you are unwilling to help or pay what you owe me now. You're happy to chase for what I owe but turn a blind eye when you owe me.

I am livid and I think it's absolutely shameful that an organization the size of Vodacom has no way of actually helping clients when they need it, it's a stupid back and forth process that is so tedious most people would cut their losses.

However, it's January and I can't afford to cut my losses, I need to feed my family and the money that is now sitting in Vodacoms bank account or pocket is taking food off of the plates of people who pay your salaries.

Anyone who sees this whether a vodacom member of staff or just a fellow Facebook user is more than welcome to share and repost this.

Something needs to be done and fast.

This feels like crime.

Dear Vodacom.

When is due course? Because if you expect me to believe that your going to call me soon to resolve this, you are sorely mistaken. I've been waiting a month for someone to actually help me, I can get nothing from you people short of putting it on Facebook, X and HelloPeter.

My next stop will be Instagram, then LinkedIn, I will find every place you have a digital footprint.
At this point I will invent a social media platform to complain about your shameful level of service and disgusting way of dealing with your clients.

You are *****ing and lying.

Make a point of getting someone to contact me NOW.

Regards,
An extremely disgruntled customer who you owe money to and can't seem to help at all.
