VODACOM HAS NO RESPECT FOR CUSTOMERS AND THEIR PROCEDURES ARE FLAWED
I settled my private cell number account with Vodacom in April 2016.
I still had a data account with them. Vodacom then continued debiting my bank account monthly from January 2017 to February 2018 for the settled account. I did not think anything of this at that time.
I never actually followed up with them as to why my account was being over-debited.
At the beginning of March 2018 I then visited their Centurion branch whereby I informed them that they are over debiting my data account, and it was found that they were still debiting my old settled account as well (taking money that is not theirs).
They then informed me that they would calculate the refund and communicate this to me. Which they never did. I had to follow up with them.
After following up with Vodacom Customer and Collection services they informed me that the refund was done to my Vodacom account. This was funny, due to the fact that I had actually cancelled my data account on my visit the day to the Centurion Branch. So how is this then possible?
Now after that discussion over the phone with Vodacom, I requested that they refund the amount into my Bank Account. They explained to me the day (6 April 2018 call logged) that it would then take another seven working days. My patience wearing thin, I then accepted this...
On 16 April 2018, again I had to follow up with them. During this conversation they now informed me that they only processed the refund amount on 10 April. Now after my logged call on 6 April they only decided to do their work four days later, again delaying the amount to be refunded by four days. This clearly shows that they do not care about customers and ensuring that requests are not attended to. The person on the other end of the line now explained to me that the refund would now take between 7 to 14 working days. See my frustration building up!!!
Now today (19/04/2018), I followed up with them again and they have the nerve to tell me that the refund was completed. They even asked me if the funds were in my account. IT WAS NOT. Now they are confused, because they do not know what the problem is as to why the funds are not in my account.
I requested that the refund be transferred to my bank account immediately, but was denied. After being on the phone for 41 minutes, my patience had worn off. They just gave me the run around and continuously said that the refund will be done between 7 to 14 working days.
I WOULD NEVER GIVE THEM A RATING AT ALL, BUT WITHOUT A RATING I CANNOT WRITE THIS REVIEW!!!
Now imagine I had to owe them money!!!!! They would probably be sending me threatening letters etc. But as soon as they owe their customers (ex), they just procrastinate the payment and ensure that you lose your temper and eventually tell them to go **** THEMSELVES.
And that is what I did.
SO VODACOM... WHAT IS YOUR RESPONSE?
