Vodacom has no customer service
I am currently unemployed and do not receive any income, that caused my debit orders not to go through. I phoned Vodacom and informed them that I will pay on the 7th of July as my contract expires and I want to cancel it. I was informed that I am R184-99 in arrears and the contract can only be canceled once my account is up to date. On the 7th of July 2020 I paid R190-00 cash at Vodacom Baywest on my account. When I got home, I phoned Vodacom, after chosing the option for contract termination, I was transfered and heard a ring tone. The next moment, the line was cut off. I phoned again, same thing. I then phoned the accounts department. They informed me that my account is still in arrears and ut takes 24 hours for the accounts to be updated. I accepted the answer. The next day, 8 July, in the afternoon I again phoned Vodacom accounts department and was informed that my account still shows in arrears. The consultant said that they will rectify it and I must phone back the following day. Wednesday 9 July, phoned again, same story, account in arrears. Thursday 10 July, I phone the accounts department, an Indian lady answered. I explained everthing, she checked the account and informed me that it still shows in arrears. She told me she would sort it out and contact me the next day. Friday 11 July, late afternoon, still no phone call, decide to phone again. Consultant named Corrin answered phoned wit a big sigh, after I informed him I want to cancel my contract, the kine is cut off. I phoned back, this time Nombelo answered. She checks my account and says it still shows in arrears, but she will fix it and I must phone back the next day. How many times must I phone back. This is the worst service I have ever received and this will be my last contract with Vodacom
