Vodacom has no customer service

I would just like to express my deepest disappointment with Vodacom. I signed up for an online deal and received confirmation stating that I will receive a call in 24hours. After 2 weeks of waiting, I called Vodacom Online and explained the situation (1st let down). The agent I spoke to then told me that the deal I signed up for is no longer available (2nd let down). They then escalated the matter and I was promised a call back within the same day. This did not happen (3rd let down). After waiting 2 days, I had to do Vodacoms job and call in myself. Once again, I had to repeat myself and the entire situation to the same agent and again I was told I will receive a call back within the same day and again this did not happen (4th let down). After waiting for another week, I again called in and demanded to speak to a manager. I was put through to a second in charge (Sameera who's not the manager) and once again I demanded to be put through to a manager as I was fed up with this level of service. Eventually I was called by a manager (Craig) who then once again asked me to repeat the entire situation (5th let down). Eventually I was given my deal but instead of the Dex Stand Alone which was supposed to be included in the deal, I was given the VR4 along with my device. The package I confirmed consisted of 75 sms's, 200 mins and 200 MBs data including a free 1GB of data every month for 24 months. I confirmed with Craig about the FREE 1 gig data. And I was told yes I would receive it. Sameera then called me later in the day to confirm the deal and once again I asked if I would receive the FREE 1 gig. Once again I was promised I would. 2 days later I received my package without a SIM card. I called in AGAIN as online deals come with free SIM and connection. I was told that Vodacom "encourages their customers to go Into the store to purchase the SIM card and email proof of purchase to likeminds and I would be refunded". I did as the agent advised and to this day I am STILL waiting to be refunded (6th let down) I continued to use my device, obviously it being a smartphone it used a lot of data. Eventually my data ran out and I tried to purchase more data only to my surprise find out I'm unable to. I called once again to query why I could not and was told I had an open contract which restricted me from purchasing airtime however I can freely use data and at the end of the month receive a bill of god alone knows how much (7th let down). I requested to migrate to a top up contract and the agent Sarah gladly assisted me. She went through all my details and the entire contract. She asked me which package I'm on. I informed of her of the smart s package and also the FREE 1 gig data. To my utter dissapointment Sarah informed me that the 1 gig data was actually not free and I was in fact paying for it. Not only that i paid for a connection fee which was also supposed to be free. Im still waiting for this to be sorted out and to be migrated to a different package. Is this the way Vodacom operates? By lying, deceiving and *****ing from their customers? Is their motto to take take take from their customers? To promise one thing and do another? I'm truly disgusted in Vodacom and their utter lack of principle. Everyone kept telling me Vodacom has the worst customer service and after this harrowing experience I can truly believe it. I'm at the point where Vodacom can take their device their gear their data and I'm moving to a different network. And I will advise family and friends to do the same.
