Vodacom has given my information to 3rd party partner companies without my consent-why?!!!!

I get 2 sms today. One says my airtime VAS has been upgraded and the other my network synchronisation has been done. To clarify i phone customer service who tell me that it's not a problem because it's a 3rd party checking my number for future upgrades etc. She explained that they have partner companies that can phone to offer better deals, upgrades etc!! This is unacceptable and a breach of my privacy!!! Since when are Vodacom without my permission allowed to give my information to a 3rd party to snoop!!! This is as far as I'm concerned a breech of contract by Vodacom. I cannot find that Vodacom may pass on my personal information to any 3rd partner company for any reason in the contract, so someone better clarify and explain!!!

Thankyou for contacting me and resolving the issue. I understand you have partner companies for marketing, (but the original call centre agent I spoke to must be further enlightened so as to avoid further unnecessary but miscommunications) As per conversation please remove me from the data base for your partner companies. I will only deal with Vodacom directly
