VODACOM Gross-Negligence and Pathetic Service. Unprofessional conduct.

I have a contract for my Son's data package of 500MB which expired in October 2016 and I maintained it as a month to month contract paying only R45.00. During November 2017 my contract was **********ly upgraded and Vodacom ***** department confirmed such ********** upgrade on 26 February 2018, following a formal dispute being lodged. Vodacom ***** team issued an instruction to the accounts to cancel the ********** line, credit the account and update my ITC. However this was not done and only on 07 March when I called in to check I was told the other months have been credited on 28 February, however, the line was not cancelled and I was billed again for March on the ********** line. I requested an immediate cancellation via an email same day 07/03/2018. I was told I owe R157 upto end of Feb, since I was unable to pay the R45.00 due to investigation of the ********** line. I then payed R202.00 on 07 March to cover the March premium.

Then today, Friday, 09/03/2018. I call in since my email sent on 07/03/2018 was never responded to, to my surprise and shocked I was informed I owe Vodacom R13000 plus, yet the contract was cancelled. My March statement was not sent and I only asked the friendly and professional service agent by the name of Abednigo Phethani to send me the invoice. I would like to commend him for recognition for professionalism and courtesy shown in dealing with me as frustrated as I was he took an extra mile to do his best contrary to all the departments who were on my email correspondence whom failed to even respond to my emails. i.e. ********** ********** ********** and **********

This is totally unacceptable since this pathetic service has also affected my ITC, consequently, I am unable to secure favourable rates for lending with other service providers. Kindly fix this nonsense created by *********** and gross negligence shown by Vodacom staff.

Angry and disgusted,

Nathi Nkonde
