Vodacom gave my business number to another person

i had a vodacom number linked to my whatsapp business account, and since tuesday we are not able to receive any whatssapps anymore. we used it for whatsapp ONLY, and now we cant receive any messages. the vodacom centre said that the number has been recycled, and allocated to another person for 2 months now. so what i dont understand is "WHY ON EARTH DO WE NEED TO RICA" if the number can just be given to someone else. more to that is that we have branded cars driving around now and we cant receive any messages. and to top it all, i have no banking now also, because no-one said anything that we must SPEND money on a pay-as-you-go sim card.

is this really how it works now? if you dont spend money on the vodacom network for 6 months you just give the number to the next victim?

hi there, so what EXACTLY does "inactive" mean in your (Vodacom's) terms. in my view it is that there are never any calls (incoming or outgoing). in my view it also means that the sim was never active. it was used daily, even though we never charged it with money, but there was always data going back and forth. you are also very well aware that the sim (even though it was e-sim) was placed in a phone because you could tell me in what phone it was last used.

maybe you can explain what does "inactive" means in your terms
