Vodacom Funeral cover scham

On the 5 August 2024 my mother passed away. She does not have an estate to cover her debt and the only debt she had was Vodacom. On the 9th of August 2024 my daughter emailed Vodacom deceased department to notify them that her grandmother had passed. She got a response the folloeing day with ref no: EC-1TWW-28WXO7. Today it is the 31st of August more than 2 weeks down the line and they still have not paid out the funeral cover of R5000 that my mother had on 1 of the contracts. They want details of the estate we have told them via email that my mother does not have an estate and till today we have not received a reply nor did the money pay out. I am appaled by their business sense and how in the world does it take.more than 2 weeks for a funeral.cover to pay out. This company has billions of rands and then when the account holder passes it becomes a problem when they need to pay out. This is ridiculous and absurd. We have sent all the necessary documentation through but again they want the documentation so where is the documentation which was sent the 1st time via email. What do these guys do in the deceased department. How many times do you want the documentation. Compared to the other funeral companies out there Vodacom is by far the worst. But they call me at leats 2 times a week to offer me a product but they cannot pay out when they need to. I am telling everyone to stay away from Vodacom funeral cover because it is bocus it is a scheme to make.money. My name is Magda ***.
