Vodacom ****s up again
This morning I signed up for a deal on the Vodacom website. I was to receive a Samsung Galaxy S9 and some few hundred MB of data for a fee of R211p/m for 24 months.
Being interested in deal, I signed up and was asked a few personal questions. Included in these questions, I was asked when i became the director of a company which my father had opened. I did not even know I was a director of the company until I was asked about it. Vodacom is giving out vital information to anyone who knows your ID number.
Looking beyond this, I called to follow up on my order, upon quoting my ID number, I was told that there is no order loaded to my name. I offered to give the reference number which was emailed to me and had the lady at the Call Centre tell me that there was an error on the website and the deal will be removed.
I find this level of incompetence to be disgusting, especially since Vodacom is such a reputable telecommunications company. Telecommunications, ironic AF.
Give me the deal I signed up for Vodacom. Don't make your mistakes my problems.
