VODACOM ********** Contract Upgrade

Noticed a debit order from my account to Vodacom, called customer care to enquire as I do not have a contract with Vodacom, only to be told that I did an upgrade in July @ Southgate Mall and took an i-phone 7 - which I was not aware of by the way. I have never lost my id or my licence so I couldn't understand how that was done.

Anyway, I was told that I need to do an affidavit, email it through to ********** together with my id copy, bank statement and my contact details and that someone would contact me within 24hrs - which I did and 4 days later, no one has called me, called customer care again and was told there was nothing they could do for me, I should call the H/O - which I did but was told that there's only one person in their ***** department, and since I was on hold for quite some time, was told the person has probably left and I must call in on Monday because there was no one who could help me.

I am so frustrated right now and feeling so helpless, I've never even been to Vodacom Southgate Mall, and yet my details were used and confirmed by God knows who.

Communication from Vodacom would really be appreciated as I need to know how soon can this be sorted out, and if at all this will be sorted.

Vodacom After I was told that my query was resolved, that your forensic team has investigated and indeed found that the upgrade was **********, everything was sorted until I receive a Final Demand letter on email that my account is due, an amount of R5769.03 must be paid within the next 21 days by ME, and that consequences of not paying will lead to legal action against me. I'm really failing to understand how you'd say the issue was resolved and yet I'm getting a warning email. I'm really disappointed, and truly regret the day I joined Vodacom. Now there's someone out there with an IPhone that I cant even afford and I'm the one who must pay for it because someone chose not to do their job, really Vodacom, REALLY??????????????????????????????
