Vodacom *****
A large amount was debited from my father's bank account on 30 September 2019 and 31 October 2019. He went to the Vodacom shop in his area once the bank made him aware of the amount that was debited. They told them everything was sorted, but the amount was again debited on 31 October 2019. On 13 December 2019, I contacted Vodacom Customer Care with Ref no. 1-***. The customer care agent could not establish where the amount came from and escalated the enquiry. On 23 December 2019, I once again contacted Vodacom Customer Care as I had received no feedback. The customer care agent then brought to our attention that a ********** line was activated in August 2019 and cancelled again in September 2019. I raised a ***** dispute with Vodacom's Forensic Team with ref number EC-1SNC-2JAKQT. On 2/1/2020 I was contacted by them for an account number which I sent to them on 3/1/2020. Since then I have received no feedback from them and they haven't rep**** to any e-mails sent. I then contacted Vodacom Customer Care. I had to send the ***** dispute documentation to them again and I'd receive feedback within 48 hours. I did not receive feedback and contacted them again. I was told that they had contacted their ***** Department and that the ***** department had sent me an e-mail on the 2/01/2020. My father's other contract number has been blocked since December because of this dispute. The ***** was not his fault. I find this behaviour of Vodacom extremely unsatisfactory. I was told in December that the dispute will be resolved within 2 weeks. It is now taken longer than a month without any feedback from the Forensic Team whatsoever.
