Vodacom *****
On Wednesday 5th January, my son's number was blocked. When calling the number the lady I don't know answered and she said she did a sim swap on her number which is not my son's number, when the sim swap was successful, she was given a new number which is the one I was calling. This left me with so much confusion because I believe the security questions that Vodacom agents ask are for such reasons! How come could another person be able to answer all 5 questions correclty and be given a number they never even used before and still be okay with it? I've just contacted Vodacom and they were unable to help me. Now I have to go to the branch and pay R50 for something that's not my fault. I am so disappointed in Vodacom for the fact that they couldn't even track who performed that sim swap they told me it was performed on the very day the number in question got blocked. Don't Vodacom agents have unique codes through which they can be traced in the system? I suppose every transaction should reflect every detail! I need answers from Vodacom. I've used the network for years and this is my first time experiencing this!
