Vodacom *****

Vodacom, please pay more attention to your vetting process when processing contracts. It was so easy for someone to open a very expensive contract using my name at your shop. The documentation they submitted has so many red flags yet you still approved the contract and gave them the phone (one of your most expensive phones). Now my personal bank account has been debited and my credit record has been affected.

It is obvious that bank statements are not checked - I don't know why it makes sense that someone can receive a salary on the 23rd and 30th of the month. Your consultant should have asked for payslips for both "incomes". Bank statements have stamps, and if generated electronically they have a verification number, do you contact the bank to verify the bank statement?

The relative that was listed - what do you ask this relative, if you actually call them at all?

The employer - do you call to confirm employment? How do you even confirm employment over the weekend? The employer this person wrote on your form is not even the correct spelling, does that make sense when the payslip says you have been working there for over 10 years? Under employment details, how do you accept that the employer contact person is the person applying for the account with their own contact number? Can we confirm our own employment when we apply for accounts/contracts now?

Did you ask for proof of residence?

The reason why there is so much ***** is because companies like you make it so easy. This is extremely disappointing. You must figure out a way to connect to Home Affairs to confirm ID's and banks to confirm bank statements.

This is very inconvenient. I have wasted so much time trying to submit the ***** documents YOU asked for and even more time will be wasted because I will have to follow up with you. I submitted the documents yesterday and have not received a response yet. It is insane that it takes so long to receive a response for something so serious.

I need this resolved ASAP. My money returned and your details removed from my credit record.

I'm sorry but this is a response you copy and paste on all of these complaints.
Is "due course" today? Which department will be calling me? *****? Accounts? Do you know who exactly will be calling me?

I have submitted all required forms but it is unfair that I have to wait 14 days to get a response while I obviously was not involved in this nor did I ask for this. If you messed up shouldn't you try and resolve this as quickly as possible? 14 days is way too long to get back to me about such a matter. No one has called me, I am the one who is always calling in. You guys can't even call me to merely apologise? This is the worst! a crime has been committed and Vodacom cannot even call to apologise to the victim, you can't even say you acknowledge it was *****, here is your money back. Why am I sitting around waiting for YOU to figure out where YOU messed up? I need a refund and your name removed from my credit report. I want this to be sorted out within a week. NOT 14 DAYS!
Now I get an SMS saying my service ticket has been closed. What is this service ticket?!?! You guys are failing with communication. Is this that person trying to re-activate the line? Is it my ***** dispute that is being closed? What is happening?
Service ticket: EC-1ZAE-2K38FS
Like I said at the beginning of this complaint, I will be wasting my time calling YOU guys trying to follow up. I am on the phone now trying to get through to you guys because NO ONE HAS CALLED ME YET. I WANT YOU TO CALL ME TODAY!!!!!

I found out that the service ticket I mentioned above is you closing this Hellopeter ticket. That is wrong because you did not give me a resolution so how can you close the ticket? Anyway, I have eventually gotten through to a very helpful gentleman in your ***** department. I hope I will now be sorted.

Honestly, you have not helped at all. This is very disappointing. You guys take advantage of consumers because you are a large company. Terrible service, terrible communication - absolutely terrible.
