Vodacom *****
The service or rather lack thereof from vodacom has been beyond terrible. In June/July 2017 I received a call from a sales person at vodacom. The lady called stating I qualified for a FREE cellphone since my business with vodacom was long standing and excellent. She further mentioned all I would be responsible for would be the airtime and not the handset. I accepted the offer not knowing she had **** in her pitch to me pushing a sale and not disclosing all the information. The freight company emailed my wife during this period I was hospitalized and my wife did not accept the delivery as the phone was not the one which was promised to me, it was of a lower range. The freight company took it back however in August 2017 they began billing me and debiting my account. I only noticed this in January 2018 when I did a reconciliation and began to do reversal of those debits which I could. The following month it was the same thing from vodacom debiting my account without my permission, I proceeded to do another reversal and this time vodacom had the audacity to block my cell number. I was unable to make or receive any calls till I called their terrible customer care to be unblocked. The following month it was the same story. What surprises me they persist on blocking my existing number and not the phone which they are debiting for of which I never agreed on in the first place. Surely they should have locked that FREE phone which was in their premises and not the phone number they have no affiliation with that I had bought cash. This has been happening month after month with several ref numbers however no one resolved my query as to why my account is being debited for a free phone which I do not even have. The following are ref numbers I have saved: ********** ********** - ********** ********** - ********** ********** - ********** ********** - ********** ********** . Whenever I called them all the agent would tell me that my query has been rectified. I was even asked to send an affidavit to ***** disputes @ vodacom.co.za . Following month ofcourse I had to call them again and this time was told to send 3 samples of my signature, a clear copy of my ID and a statement of complain to the same email address again. I was asked to pay R655.26 on the 16th of April 2018 in order to unlock MY phone( ********** 090), nonetheless I did that. The next month came and I was asked to pay R233.49 to unlock my phone yet again. Whenever I called I ended up speaking to 6/7 people all not knowing what they are doing. Another month came and I remember speaking to Simphiwe whom said I must pay R443.49. When I called back to confirm the payment I was told system is offline. Another person was Karabo Seemela ref EC-1J55-2Q2KJO from the debt collections department and up to now I am still swimming in the same pool. In my opinion vodacom should refund me all debts transacted from my account and the monies I have paid to unblock my phone. I've been in and out of hospital due to an accident which alone has taken its toll on my health, I'm unable to phone anyone and when friends and family try to get hold of me they get a voice message that my phone has been suspended. I cannot make any calls from my number or receive. Going to the vodacom shop also is a waste on its own. The staff at gateway and not knowledgeable and have no idea how to address any queries as they always refer to customer care. Vodacom is merely running a franchise and do not care of the many customers they have. This service from vodacom is beyond pathetic and excruciatingly painful.
