Vodacom *****

It is unfair that a zero rating is not available for a company - one star still implies there is some decency.

Vodacom cut my LTE service on 26 March 2022. Unaware that the service was discontinued, we reported this as a fault and a team from Vodacom reported that the issue was because of signal failure and an antennae needed to be installed to reinstate the signal.

This made no sense as the device had worked in the same position since 2019.

After making at least 12 phone calls and a string of emails to and fro, someone at Vodacom then said the service was cancelled due to non-payment. This was the first time I had heard this news, and it came over a month after the first query was lodged.

With no notice, Vodacom had charged my account with Top Up data bundles, and additional nonsensical charges had been allocated to my account, and even though my debit order had gone off successfully for months, these amounts accrued with no statement or notification from Vodacom.

The debit order for April was reversed when I had found out that the service was discontinued for non-payment, as my account was paid in full, and with no service, there is no justification for payment.

I had no fixed contract with Vodacom, and cancelled the contract with immediate effect.

September has arrived and Vodacom made contact today to say that I am liable for the payment, even though these charges have been **********ly acquired on my account - my business and myself did not authorise the Top Up bundles yet I am expected to pay for no service and ********** charges.

Vodacom offers some of the worst customer service available in the South African consumer economy, and customer service official, Zinhle, was disgustingly rude. Her superior Tembi Melapi is incapable of performing her job - I have sent her numerous emails to clarify the origin of the charges as well as the ********** accumulation of data bundles, and 4 months later have had a single, one line response.

To all who consider business LTE solutions, I would advise that Vodacom be overlooked in your search for reliable and legal business interaction.

Vodacom is obviously another business in the Mobile Telecoms industry that bullies its clients, and is riddled with incapable, lazy, uncooperative and ******** staff.

Your banking details remain with these useless *******, and the few people at Vodacom that do perform are expected to pick up the weight of the useless and incapable. This is a serious privacy and security concern.

I am disgusted, unimpressed and very sure that I will never support Vodacom again.

I do not wish Vodacom well.

These companies have also not received any acknowledgement from Vodacom. I write this for the review of peers, in the hope that others will avoid opening themselves up to ***** over and above poor service.
