VODACOM FORCES PAYMENTS ON QUESTIONABLE CONTRACTS
I did an online upgrade, not a month ago. Could not view or read the terms and conditions but to continue had to click the box of acknowledgement. Received the phone, with no contract or insurance paperwork. Due to circumstances had to use another sim card in the phone, the phone got wet and was sent in to get repaired or replaced as it was insured. The insurance was denied for something I was unaware of, and would have been if I had the paperwork to read. Now I sit with no device, Vodacom has it, I'm expected to pay a contract for a device which I cannot use. When either phoning in or emailing the scripted response repetitive. I have been worked or pushed or angled into either taking out a new contract, while paying for the old one, or cancel and pay in or get a prepaid device. This doesn't answer the question I keep asking ... how does all of this help with a contract I have never received, read or signed and have had no disclosure on terms and conditions for either the insurance or the contract.
