Vodacom flawed validation system and untrained Helpdesk staff. Not to speak of Toby, utterly a frustration... Testing a a useless bot on customers.
So typically Vodacom is great. New contracts, they got their service and systems really worked out.
Where they now, will lose a long time customer to MTN because their operators can't seem to recognize they have a flaw in their system.
Problem: My Vodacom Wifi router seems to block a certain website, which happen to be my work website, including my work GMail, and this has cost me lost business.
To get around it, I have to diss connect my Wifi router and start a HotSpot on my Vodacom phone, then my Laptop happily get to the work GMail and Website - so not my my Laptop.
Call the support:
First you have to speak to an idiot of a chat bot that you know can't help you, no quick way to get to a human that can help you.
10 minutes later you get to a human, now they need to check your wifi router out....but first they ask security questions. You guessed it, their questions if they get stuck, there is no way they can continue...not even a secondary question or option.
They wanted to know what packages I have with Vodacom... I have 4 diffirent contracts and I really don't know and don't care what packages they are. Even on my Vodacom statement it isn't important enough, because my statements don't even have that info.
Operator gave me two solutions. 1. Download some app to get the information . Then get back in the line to speak to the stupid Toby bot and pray you get back to a human that you will now have to explain the entire story to again.....
OR: Drive to a Vodastore.....lol
The operator can't seem to understand that Vodacom has a problem, they need to improve their validation system.....like all other validation systems that have secondary security question.... Nope, they have a process, a flawed process and the operator does not have the common sense to understand that the Vodacom Validation system is flawed.
Will I download the app...NO. Will I drive to the Vodacom shop. YES, to give them their Wifi router while I go to a new service provider....
Why Vodacom, can't you train your Help Desk better? They are suppose to highlight customer service issues.
Now, this situation has upset a long time loyal customer, and as a matter of principal I would take the financial loss, cancel all 4 contracts I have with you due to bad service.
Well done...
