Vodacom Fibre Wrongfully Debits Me and Then Refuses to Contact Me
My fibre line stopped working so Vodacom sent out the tech team to investigate. They concluded that the router needed to be replaced and told my wife that they would do a warranty replacement.
They returned the next day and replaced the router and took the old one away. No contact beyond that was ever made with me.
The next month, I was billed close on R2000 for a router and the amount deducted via debit order. I had never agreed to paying for a router at all, or that any additional money may be deducted from my account. The technician stated that it was a warranty replacement.
It has now been over a month and a half since I made my request for someone at Vodacom to resolve my complaint. No meaningful response at all. I have tried via their Twitter account, many promises but no one has contact me still.
All I want is for someone with the capability of addressing y issue to actually phone me.
I now expect that this will get the same generic response that all get, but that will be useless too: i.e.
"Dear Customer, Thank you for making us aware of your complaint. Kindly be advised that a consultant will make contact with you in due course to assist with your query. ***Please note*** Beware of phishing ****s. Vodacom will not contact you via Whatsapp to request your personal details Regards, Vodacom Consumer Website Team"
