Vodacom Fibre - WORST CUSTOMER CARE LINE

Vodacom Fibre has to be the worst Customer Care division in the country, it is absolutely appalling and not just because they are *********** but so rude to customers as well. So I've struggled to cancel my Internet Service with Vodacom since last year August because of bogus terms and conditions that don't stipulate contract extension upon upgrading your line speed - YES PEOPLE - WHEN YOU UPGRADE YOUR INTERNET LINE SPEED YOUR CONTRACT AUTOMATICALLY STARTS FROM SCRATCH - THIS IS NOT STIPULATED IN THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS - So I get told that my contract will end February 2021 - There is a 30 day cancellation period(or calendar month). I contacted Vodacom Fibre in January 2021 to confirm that my cancellation is for end of January to which they confirm - YES BUT YOU HAVE TO LOG A CANCELLATION REQUEST - I TELL THEM TO DO IT IMMEDIATELY BUT THEY DON'T, I HAVE TO CALL BACK AND EVENTUALLY 8 DAYS LATER THE CANCELLATION IS LOGGED - Now that we're midway through January I call back to confirm the cancellation and I get told that because the request was only completed midway through January my contract will only be cancelled at the end of February 2021. Speaking to my new ISP they ask me to get the VT number(object number) which is required to move my internet service to them and to activate my new service. I call Vodacom again requesting this information to which they respond that I need to contact Vumatel to get this information. I call Vumatel and they tell me they don't give out this information and that I need to contact my ISP - Vodacom Fibre. What a shocker right, this happens a couple more times a week before my internet service is to be cancelled with Vodacom. Vodacom support staff told me that once my Internet service is cancelled I'll be provided with the VT number. I called Vodacom on March 8th to find out why I haven't received the VT number(object number) to which they responded the ONT first needs to be released before this will become available. Guess what a Service Request had to be logged for the ONT to be released. I called them again and I get told that the ONT has been released but a Service Request has to be logged to get the VT number(this was on March 12th). I called them again today(March 15th) - YES STILL NO VT NUMBER - and to top it all off the staff has been incredibly rude. The first support consultant put me on hold as soon as the interaction became difficult and thereafter transferred me to a line that was closed and I was presented with the after call survey. I don't recall her name.....I called back again and spoke to a lady called Thuli I think and she did not appreciate me accusing her of what had just transpired. She continued to put me on hold for approximately 10 minutes only for the call to be put through to the same after call survey. I called back again and spoke to a gentleman asking him to spell his name as I wanted to take record of who I am speaking to, he rambled it off so quickly when I asked him to slow down and spell it again he simply disconnected the call. As I'm determined to cut ties with Vodacom I call back and speak to another gentleman who was kind enough to spell his name for me - Mandisi. I didn't want to go through the whole process again so I asked for a Manager to call me back because to be honest, your support staff should not be treating customers in this manner. You are legally obligated to share the information required for me to move to another Internet Service Provider and up to this point you have not held up your end of the bargain. I want the interactions reviewed and action taken against these so-called support staff not fulfilling their duties and making empty promise after empty promise. You guys should be ashamed of yourself, give me the information that I need so I can rid myself of your appalling "service".

Lovely, so this is the response I get this morning and the ticket was closed without resolving my issue:

On Tue, 16 Mar 2021, 09:05 , <***> wrote: Dear PIETER CORNELIUS Thank you request received. Kindly be advised that your request to release the ONT has been received and actioned There is no fibre installation done from our side at this address it gives us the option to place a order ,if your isp is still unable to install then the line is occupied by a different isp and not with Vodacom hence there is no VT number from Vodacom side because the ONT is not with us Kind Regards Vodacom fibre

Once again Vodacom has failed to address my complaint, I requested to be called back by a Manager and this hasn't happened. Instead I receive this half baked email, the support desk even closed my ticket as if the matter has been resolved, absolutely disgraceful. You assholes should have given me the VT number before you released the ONT but it just shows that you don't know your own product and what is required when changing to another ISP. I guess it's always the customer that needs to suffer, you do not deserve title of a service provider.

I'm left with a situation where I have no clue what to do and at the mercy of a hopeless service provider.

Customer Service is dead....

Another generic response and yet again you failed to address the issue. You should go for a reading class so you can understand what the actual issue is....releasing the ONT DOES NOT PROVIDE ME WITH A VT OBJECT NUMBER THE NEW ISP REQUIRES TO MOVE THE FIBRE LINE - WAKE THE **** UP!!! YOU SHOULD HAVE PROVIDED ME WITH THIS INFORMATION BEFORE YOU RELEASED THE ONT. Anyway, I'm done with Vodacom, you have lost a long standing customer forever, I'll be cancelling my cellphone contract as well, I'm so sick of the poor service and I'd rather join a ****tier network that has better customer service delivery
