Vodacom Fibre To The Home - Am I a joke to you?
Good Day,
On Thursday the 21st of January 2021 a technician was sent out to my place of residence to have a look at my fibre connection because my upload speed was low. I am meant to be on a 10/10 package but mine has been anywhere between 10/0 and 10/2 since the beginning of December 2020. So he came and started working and could not get it right, he eventually got up and said "I tried my best", he said someone else would be sent out to look at it, which has never happened. Now the problem is by the time he left, there was ZERO connection, so I was worse off than I was before he came.
On Friday I logged a ticket for this and waited, nobody made contact, On Monday I called, the agent I spoke to assisted me to troubleshoot, nothing worked. He then said he will send an email to the Administrator and mark it as urgent, the Admin will then call me back on the same day, this never happened. On Tuesday the 26th I called again, a lady agent helped me troubleshoot for about 35min, nothing worked. She advised that it looks like intermittent connection, which in my view is not true as I have had ZERO connection on my side since the 21st. She then said she will escalate to Metro Fibre and a technician will come out, this has still not happened. Yesterday I logged onto the Self Service portal and noticed the ticket has been assigned to a guy named Theo. I called again, the agent who answered helped me troubleshoot again without success. He then said he will email Theo who is working on the project so that he can give me a call, I am still waiting for that call.
Today I logged onto the Self Service again and noticed my ticket has been moved to someone else now, by the name of Greeff/Griffith. Nobody has made contact with me, I am the only one calling, and there seems to be no end in sight to my problem. I am now sitting without internet for 7 days, which is quite ridiculous. My wife and I work from home due to the pandemic and we are constantly buying data to Hotspot on our phones, which we should not be doing. I also expect to receive full credit for the days I did not have internet, I cannot be expected to pay for the whole month. Vodacom Fibre receive their money on time every month from my account, but drags their feet when client issues need to be attended to. Maybe I should take my business elsewhere, because I am clearly a joke to you. The least you could do is offer an interim solution while you investigate what is wrong with my line.
