Vodacom Fibre technical & fault repair service is non-existent
My Vodacom Fibre is now down for 28-days and not a single technical effort had been made to repair it. Technical service and fault repair at Vodacom Fibre is beyond pathetic. After 17 or 18 phone calls and 3 different reference numbers, there is still not a single action. It is also clear to me that they close a reference number when it starts to age, to shamefully make it appear as if the matter was resolved. Then they simply log a new call, to make it look as if my problem is only a few days old. There is also no way to speak to their technical department or even to the supervisor of the call centre (she promised 7 times - via different operators to phone me back and never did so). The call centre's function is merely to tell a customer that the matter "will be escalated", which is meaningless and makes no difference to a technical fault. If you consider to use Vodacom Fibre, be prepared to receive absolutely no after-sales or technical support. NB:For another unrelated fault with my IP service (8-months ago), I had two different reference numbers and "escalated" the matter probably 9 times. I managed to still have the numbers of two Vodacom Fibre technicians who was involved with the installation. Absolutely nothing was done and to this day, I had been paying for my IP phone & IP service for 8 months+, without using it a single time. Now that the fibre internet is also down, I am paying a huge bill without receiving anything for it.
However, my ageing problem with my IP service remains unresolved. The technician from last night referred the matter to an IP person within Vodacom. It is suspected to be a mere configuration of the Yelling IP Phone which had not been done for the 8-months I've had it. The reference number for that is SR***.Your assistance to finally attend to this too, wil be appreciated.
