Vodacom Fibre team has no Idea what Service means
I have cancelled my relocation order as well as my fibre with Vodacom.
I have to share my absolute disgust with the service I have received from the Vodacom Fibre team, I moved on the 26th of January I phone to ensure that there is Fibre in the area and requested the relocation forms, the lady sent me the forms on the 20th and I filled them and sent it back on the 22nd of January. I requested that the fibre be moved on the 1st of February.
I received the SR nr on the 22nd of January as well. I waited for a call from Vodacom and on the 30th and 31st of January I phoned frustrated because I have not received any notification from Vodacom as to when the fibre will be moved, I was then told that the person that answered the call will escalate the issue as no on has taken control of the SR nr, he also said that he cannot assist as it’s the back office that has to take over, I was also not allowed to talk to them.
I phoned back the following day to ask if there was any progress as I need to be home when the fibre is installed and I work in Sandton. Needless to say again got no joy.
I did some research only to find that my current fibre is a 5up and 10 download cost the same as Afrihost’s 20up / 20 download line, imagine that.
Today is the 5th of Feb and I still have not had one phone call for Vodacom to arrange for the Fibre to be moved, I feel sorry for business owners that need the internet to run their businesses as Vodacom is absolutely useless in servicing their clients.
The lady on the other side of my call apologized and then continued to be rude about why I wanted to cancel my order as well as telling me it will take 30 days and they will charge me for the router, I told her that I am happy to drop the router off at a Vodacom shop and she said well they wont take it back …… I was also told that relocating my fibre would have taken 30 days and not once in the process of me arranging it or phoning to understand when it was going to happen did anyone from the Fibre team share this bit of important information with me.
I will now be charged for a month that I am not using the service as well as a router that I am willing to return and had to deal with the consultants incompetence and attitudes as well as all the time i spent on calls to get absolutely nowhere.
I haven’t been treated this badly by a service provider ever and must say that Vodacom has no idea how to be a service provider anymore.
