vodacom fibre service

I don't even know why I am writing this review on a company that wipe there **** on their clients!! During March 2019 I switch from Afrihost fibre to Vodacom fibre as they have an option for VOIP which Afrihost did not provide. Just there my total frustration started! I did the online ordering and selected clearly what I want. A couple of days later someone from a Durban based BEE phoned me to confirm my order. After the first quote I have to contacted them to have it rectified as half of the original items was missing. The person phoned me again to telephonicly do the order again. Next thing I received and email that I had to sign and send back for the service order to take effect. Dates and items everything was clearly stated. It was supposed to be active at the end of April. After numerous phone calls, emails and sms to different people and at different levels and with totally NO solution at all. Eventually on 18 of June I received an email stated that my fibre is no active! Right, it worked fine, except for the regular drop in speed. Then the second straw on the camels back. I need them to open a port for the alarm app to communicated between the alarm and the alarm server. (I had to submit a request to Vodacom Fiber support as no fiber router / modem owner with Vodacom has private access to their own router/modems. everything needs to be done through them). Phoned *** and request the port to be opened. "Sent an email and request what port you want open and we will direct it to the right department. How long will that take? I don't know, maybe not to long. Maybe two weeks" Wow, what an abusrdity! The support center can't help!!?? So I canceled my subscription - filed a canceling order on 30 Aug to take effect at the end of October. Waiting, waiting, waiting and again after numerous calls and emails it was terminated on 7 November. ( at Afrihost for either the cancellation or the application for the reactivation of my fiber it took less than a couple of minutes to do the admin and everything else was strictly on time!! Congrats Gian and team) After a couple of days I contacted Vodacom to request the username and password so that I can access the router/modem and reconfigure it or some other use. Phone *** and the refused to give me the username and password. Phoned various other Vodacom centers and also *** but with absolutely no success. Apparently, because I am not on their fiber anymore they can't help me - just an excuse not want to help me. I bought the router/modem, it is my property and yet they still hold me at my b...s! Vodacom is in one word PATHETIC and according to what I saw and read here on Hellopeter, everything here confirms it. Isn't there an ombudsman or some form of regulatory system where they can be reported?

Vodacom has indeed phoned me - thank you for that!. The person who talked to me was apologetic, however my situation and experience with Vodacom remains unresolved as what had happened can only be resolved with future transactions or experiences by other clients who may find them more speedy and pro-active in their transactions
Chris.
