Vodacom Fibre Reckless

I've been using Vodacom Fibre since 2020 and it's been working great, until a week ago I notified Vodacom Fibre that I would be moving to a new address and wanted to keep using them for fibre. Quotes for the new fibre were sent and I accepted and I was told that the connection would not be cut until the new installation is up and running. Then on Tuesday last week the connection was cut. I made several queries to understand what is wrong and given the run around. From what I could gather someone deleted the configuration settings prematurely and no one could be made to account. The fibre contact centre could not do anything other than escalate and I was told nothing can be done as only Activations can sort it. We work from home and run a business from the same line and we've been surviving on a prepaid data plan from competitor MTN, which has been costly to top-up. I was forced to then move earlier than planned with the hope of using the new connection. A new router arrived and connected with a signal saying there is internet at the new address, but no internet access. I'm also being told there are no configuration on this address also. So I'm yet again without internet regretting not cancelling this service and starting fresh with a different ISP. I tried to ask for a manager at Vodacom fibre today but apparently has knocked off and can't help. I called Vodacom Customer Care and got a rude Mthobisi who said it was his right not to give his surname and cut my call when I asked for a Supervisor. It's been a whole week without internet and I just cannot believe how reckless Vodacom has been with my internet. I think I will still get charged for this and even when I cancel their appalling service I will probably get charged for the new router. There is no complaints department, customer care says they don't deal with Fibre complaints, Fibre says to call Customer care to complain. How does this happen with such an established ISP. Is this by design or recklessness? I will give it another week and start a cancellation process, but this should not be allowed to happen wen paying R699 per month.

An update:

A Vodacom Rep who handles Hellopeter reviews contacted me on Tuesday the 10th and said he would escalate the matter, but no one has contacted me and I still don't have internet. I have been promised a number of "escalations" which are not followed up. I am still buying prepaid data from competitor MTN.

An update (Issue Resolved):

The Vodacom Hellopeter Rep (forgot his name), same one who had contacted me before, made a follow up today and escalated the matter to Vodacom Fibre manager and a technician Stephan was very helpful, assisted me remotely and configured the router. Now I can gladly say my fibre connection is working. The hero here is the Vodacom Hellopeter Rep who ensured I got the assistance I needed. Thank you.
