Vodacom Fibre really let me down

I'm very angry and upset with Vodacom Fibre. First, they bungled my installation date at the start of my contract with them in September 2018. They activated my fibre too early and charged me prematurely, causing me to pay double internet for the first month (both to telkom and mweb, and to vodacom), after I was assured that this would not happen by Kimberly Myburgh. This same woman, Kimberly Myburgh was rude in the very little correspondence that I had with her, claiming to be "busy", and then she ignored my further attempts to contact her. Now, not surprisingly, as it is time to move, I find problems with the people at Vodacom Fibre. Firstly, I was assured by the agent at their support number, that because my new area has fibre already, it would only be a matter of plugging in my modem there and internet would be active. This is not the case at all. After filling the necessary forms, I am forced to start a new contract because the area is covered by Vumatel and not Octotel. I had to choose a more expensive contract with lower benefits. And with this, I've been told it will take an average of 15 working days before an installation date can be set. I am moving tomorrow 31 July, so it will be almost a month in my new place with no phone line and no internet. Just to delay matters further, the agent assisting with this got my address wrong. And by the way, I can contact support on the support line, but they are not the same as the people handling the admin side of this. There is no way to phone them. I am extremely annoyed. I never got any money back from the early installation of my original line, and now this nonsense. I defended Vodacom when everyone was complaining about them, and now they've been proved right and I am wrong. It is true that Vodacom is greedy, uncompromising, inflexible and downright rude half the time.

Well, Vumatel was in contact today, and a time has been scheduled for tomorrow to do the installation. Thank you to them, they actually called me, and didn't send endless disconnected emails. Meanwhile, another member of the Vodacom team sent me an email to ask me to fill in the relocation form because they can't find my address on the Vodacom map. Hello? This is now the third time I've sent the same relocation form. How come Vumatel can find my address really easily, and Vodacom can't? No one competent enough to read a map? If I dont' get my connection by 1 August, there is only one company to blame, Vodacom. Vumatel is on the ball.

Thank you, I have my fibre in my new premises since the 2nd of the month. Once again, I strongly believe that this is thanks to the staff at Vumatel who seemed to be following up with Vodacom. I remain convinced that Vodacom is terrible for the most part in their customer service and highly *********** in their admin area for the fibre. However, there are bound to be some exceptions in their staff, and there are. Chantal who phoned to set up the appointment for the delivery of the modem, and Jonathan McKerry who delivered and configured it where great. Thanks goes to them. I'm still waiting for my phone line though. I'm told 2-3 days, and we're pushing past that now. We'll see.

And now, I've had this new contract for over two months, and STILL NO PHONE (VOIP). Despite many calls to the fibre customer help line. This is becoming beyond ridiculous.

This just makes me even more angry. Just lip service. I want real service.
