Vodacom Fibre Optics lack of service

We decided to get vodacom fibre optics when moving into our new house. I started the process of speaking to the sales person on the 1st of March. Stating quite clearly that we would be moving into our house as of the 1st of May. I was vetted etc and my contract was approved. I received a call from Vodacom to arrange a date for installation which was the 2nd of May. The router etc was installed, but didnt seem to work. So my family and I having moved from a Telkom ADSL line were now without internet. I started calling Vodacom to enquire what the problem was, we were without internet unless we used our mobile data. At that stage my sales order number wasnt even traceable. I kept getting told that 'the backoffice' hadnt done this or that. Finally after many calls and many excuses, I was told that my street had used up all its 'splitters' and that they were now waiting for equipment to arrrive, but a date as to when I would have service was not available - we were in mid may already.I was also assured that I would not be billed for this non-service.

All the while, we didnt have internet...only mobile data, which I was having to top up. Finally on the 27th of May, I happen to noticed that our wifi was on. It was a Saturday, I didnt have any contact from Vodacom...it was just by chance that I noticed it was on. Great, finally. Then on the 10th of June I received my account. I was billed for May's fibre optics. I immediately contact the now not so friendly or available sales person to inform him that although he said it wouldnt happen, Vodacom went ahead and billed me. It would seem that 3 weeks is not enough time for Vodacom to rectify their mistake, so on the 1st of July they went ahead and debited my account for TWO months fibre optics service - May and June. I didnt budget for that, I cant afford that! Doesnt matter apparently. I have had to keep calling, keep emailing and keep waiting for someone in Vodacom to tell me what is happening. When will I get my money back? Im told 'a credit has been passed' but I was also told that I would not be billed.

As I sit and wait here for yet another person to call me backVodacom, I will at no time recommend Vodacom Fibre Optics to any of my peers, I can honestly say I had much better service from Telkom ADSL and regret opting to go with you.
