Vodacom Fibre not meeting its' committments
Our fibre line has now been done over 5 days. We were promised it would be addressed within 24 to 48 hours, and it is now over 100 hours later. We call to follow up every day, and the call centre agent promises to follow up and to call us back with an update, but we get neither.
I work from home so not having a line is a "train smash", aside from the fact that we have many things at home that use fibre, including our alarm system, tracking our solar system, the watering system, etc.

10 Jan 2025, 14:34So the reply from Vodacom was posted over 4 hours ago (I am replying at 14:30), and I have still not been called by any consultant. We call Vodacom on *** every day for an update. The agent we have spoken to the past 2 days has also promised to call us bank with an update, and we have not had a single call back. We just want the service that we are paying for and we desperately need our fibre line to be fixed, as we are running a business from home and it is terribly difficult to do this without our fibre line working.
With the upcoming weekend, it will be over a week before we can hope to get this addressed, and there is supposed to be a 24 to 48-hour turnaround for issues logged.

10 Jan 2025, 15:47Thank you Ashleigh for the phone call. It'll will now depend on how much longer it takes for the fibre issue to be resolved, as it is Friday afternoon already.

13 Jan 2025, 11:19So after receiving a phone call from Ashleigh, from Vodacom on Friday afternoon, 10/12/2025, who promised thios matter would be escalated, and who issued a new referrence number (which changes the original date the issue was logged from 6/01/2025 to 10/01/2025), it is now after 11 am on Monday 13/01/2025, and we have now had no fibre for gojiung on for 9 days!
9 DAYTS!!!
Really?
Aside from the cost of fibre, we have subscriptions that we are not able to use for watching TV, which we cannot watch without fibre, AND we work from home, so we are having to top-up our back up Vodacom ****le to try "keep going".
WHEN IS THIS ISSUE GOING TO BE RESOLVED?
Getting credits from Vodacom for the number of days the line is down doesn't even begin to compensate for the down time,. lost efficiency, extra data costs, etc, etc. etc.
