Vodacom Fibre (Long review but worth it)
I opted in for Vodacom Fibre around the last weeks of May 2019. The sales person assured me that there is fibre in my area (total lie, but what do I know) and it will get connected in a month. On the 22nd of May I got my interim LTE, there were a few complications when connecting but at the end it was fine. On the 19th of June I received an email saying that my fibre was installed and the interim data is now cancelled. There no fibre was installed and I did not receive any communication saying that there is fibre being installed. I've been using the interim data solely for work and it was cancelled on the day I had to work. The customer service was repulsive to say the least, giving me the run around and telling me that they are sorry. Saying sorry and not doing anything about it is manipulation, for me that is. The supervisor told me that I would get a new "extended" interim LTE router on Monday the 24th of June, that didn't happen, I received it on Tuesday the 25th of June. After receiving the router and the ****le I could not connect to the internet. The customer service centre told me that the router was sent out without being registered. I've been using extremely slow internet using my phone as hotspot for work since the 21st of June which is not essential for the type of work I do. It seems like Vodacom does not know what know what they are doing in terms of internet or fibre, the customer service is nauseatingly repulsive and the sales people would lie to you just to get a sale.
