Vodacom Fibre is the worst division ever
To cut the story short I ordered a Vodacom 4/1Mbps 100GB Promo and sorted the necessary forms out I was now set to get the product. I was told to contact Vumatel to arrange installation (rich coming from a company so huge who should do this for you?). I got my fibre line installed at my premises and I emailed Valerie at Vodacom who dealt with the application by sending off for the last stage to the scheduling team. I called in to find out it takes 7 to 21 WORKING days which equates to over a month if you lean towards the 21 day mark (which I believe is how long I could expect to wait for this division of Vodacom) to deliver the router and activate my service. I then called Vodacom to cancel my contract and I was told by Valerie it will take 24 hours to cancel and I will be notified via email. I called again the following evening and I spoke to a Lilian? and she tells me that the application is still in an “open” status and she is aware it is scheduled to be cancelled. If the scheduling department takes 21 days to arrange something how long will it take the sales office to “schedule” a cancellation. Was it not done immediately or do they leave it for 21 days before it gets cancelled? In less than 24 hours I managed to get a router from JHB couriered to me and told my service can be activated in 15 mins. I cannot access my line for the other ISP because Vodacom is still holding my line. Please can Vodacom process this cancellation ASAP. At this rate I don’t even want to renew my cell phone contract next year when it expires.
