Vodacom Fibre is the worse provider of any service in South Africa!!!
I would give them a 0 star if that were possible. Good day, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Vodacom regarding a fibre relocation request and subsequent cancellation issues that have caused significant inconvenience and financial loss.
Background and Timeline End of August 2025: I requested a relocation of my Vodacom fibre service from 175 Linden Street to 72 Roscommon Road, effective 1 October 2025. 11 September 2025: Vodacom requested pictures of the Frogfoot fibre box. I informed them via email that the box was missing a power cable. I was told Frogfoot would contact me to resolve this. Mid-September 2025: Vodacom prematurely terminated my Vumatel connection at Strathavon, leaving me without fibre for almost two weeks, despite billing me for the full month. When I called, technical support initially claimed there was an area outage, then later admitted the service was disconnected. Issues After Moving to Parkview After relocating at the end of September, I repeatedly followed up with Vodacom regarding the missing power cable. For three weeks, I had no connectivity, no updates, and no apology. Agents were dismissive and claimed my service was only due from 1 October, ignoring the premature disconnection and lack of progress on the new installation. Cancellation Attempts Due to Vodacom’s inability to provide service, I requested cancellation in early October. Despite multiple calls and emails (including to ***), my cancellation was not processed. On 29 September, I was assured the cancellation would be actioned. However, Vodacom continued to hold the line, preventing Afrihost from activating service. Afrihost resolved the issue immediately once Vodacom released the line. I spoke to Bavna on 3 October, who promised to process the cancellation and request a concession. No action was taken. Despite repeated follow-ups, Bavna later admitted on 27 October that the original request was lost and promised to re-log it. Still, nothing happened. On 8 November, I received a Vodacom statement for a service I have not had since mid-September. Today (10 November), I was informed that Bavna cancelled the cancellation request after consulting with other team members. I am still waiting for a manager callback that was promised multiple times. My Position Vodacom has failed to provide fibre service since mid-September at Strathavon and has provided no service at all at Parkview. Despite this, Vodacom continues to bill me and refuses to process my cancellation promptly. I have made every effort to resolve this directly with Vodacom, but their internal processes and lack of accountability have left me with no choice but to escalate. Requested Action I request that Vodacom:
Cancel my fibre service immediately, without penalty. Backdate the cancellation to September 2025, when I first requested it. Cease all billing for a service that was never provided. Vodacom can verify my claims by reviewing call recordings linked to my cellphone number and checking fibre usage records, which will confirm zero activity since mid-August at Strathavon and none at Parkview.
These are the people I was told would assist, but I am still waiting for confirmation of this cancellation.
I spoke to another agent on the 3 October 2025 SR*** (Bavna) 27 October 2025. SR*** (Nozipho) Nozipho - 10 Nov 2025 Michelle - 10 Nov 2025 Sahir - Manager Please confirm receipt of this complaint and advise on the next steps. I expect this matter to be resolved urgently and fairly. Vodacom has an old surname.
