Vodacom Fibre Installation - don't bargain on it at all

Recently relocated to JHB from CPT. Never had a bad experience with the Vodacom Western Cape team (might be that Fibre installations get done by a 3rd party)

I submitted all relevant docs the 3rd of Dec 2019 and received as well as followed up that my relocation fibre installation would take place 03 Jan 2020. I re-confirmed this the 2nd of Jan just to be told that the Relocation department is all on leave and will return on Monday. Come Monday I phoned...nothing just “I will escalate the matter, Tuesday 7 Jan - phone again, after the third call to fibre installations a lady phoned me back confirming installation for the 8th at 09:00. Guess what... nothing again. Phoned and phoned the Wednesday, Thursday and after numerous calls I was told that installation would occur Friday 10 Jan 2020. This time installation occurred.

But wait, theres more. Installation completed At 14:00. No internet, I phone again. Again the magic sentence - “I will creat a SR number and escalate the matter. Saturday 11 Jan, phone again. This time being told that the dept will only be able to take me off a guest account the Monday. I phone again Monday 13 Jan 2020. 1st call... the magic sentence, “ I will escalate the matter”. I phone 2 hours later just to hear that Vodacom has installed the incorrect router. Another SR and another installation. This luckily happened quick and and vodacom came the 14th to change the routers.

O wait..... still no internet. I phone again and got told to give it 1 to 24 hours. Come home from work and yay! Theres internet, but wait, theres more.

The internet stays on for 1 min then drops so again, NO internet. I phone again and agent recons it’s an outside problem. Again another SR.

Point of my story..... be careful with this RED corporate giant that has a very *********** installation department as you get mislead and **** to whilst they still debit your account. I have sent emails, spend over a 100 minutes to vodacom and for absolutely nothing.
