Vodacom Fibre in Cape Town - DO NOT USE VODACOM

I have had an SR number open since last year November regarding a move within The Sandown, Cape Town. Countless calls and mails through the Vodacom helpline has resulted in me getting promises of calls back, with nothing.

In the meantime Vodacom continues to debit my account while I have no service, my account is NOT on hold. If you are in Cape Town thinking about getting fibre, STAY AWAY FROM VODACOM.

Their helpline will send mails, promise to call back and get feedback from managers/schedulers but nothing else will happen. Account queries are not handled with urgency and you do not have any real avenues to complain. I understand the complex has issues with the install but the fact NOTHING is communicated to us and you are expected to just keep getting your account debited until Vodacom have a plan in place is shocking.

There are other options, do not make the same mistake as me and get involved with Vodacom fibre, I have been regretting it for the past 2 months with no service, while being billed.

And final note, look closely at almost all the responses that Vodacom posts, all auto-generated.

Not resolved. Here is why: 1. I still do not have fibre. 2. Your resolution was a once off credit note email. Who knows what is going to happen going forward. 3. You sent a sub contractor to my unit this morning, then he said EXACTLY the same thing that you guys told me in December. He came, saw the ONT point had already been installed, tested it, saw the connection is too weak to work, said that it is a maintenance issue and left to come back another time. That is the same problem that happened in December. It is an unresolved infrastructure issue, not just a billing complaint. Then, I get an email to say my SR number is closed and this message from you saying resolved? Absolute joke! Davenisha phoned me yesterday, she can view all my details on the SR number and there should be someone monitoring this absolutely shocking service from you guys. There were more units that got installed today a the complex that got their points fitted with exactly the same issue.
