Vodacom Fibre ignoring the Consumer Protection Act
Vodacom fibre not complying to the Consumer protection act (CPA): I have Vodacom fibre for a few months now and subscribed to 100/50 Mbps uncapped line. Iw as willing to pay the price to have the luxury of fast internet at home.
At times the speed is as low as 6.75Mbps! It's so slow I can't even watch an HD movie on Netflix as it drops out and restarts the movie! Every time I log a call (SR180 ********** 69) they just close the call without feedback. I then had to log a call again copying the consumer commission. Vodacom then told me the network is overloaded so they're aware of the problem and they're installing additional infrastructure but can't give me timelines of completion. I've said it's ******* under the CPA to sell and charge me for a service and then to provide me with such lower service, so they must charge me for what they can supply and refund me for the months where they charged me for a service they can't provide. Once again they just closed the service request with no feedback. What's worse is that i got a call from a telemarketer not knowing i'm already on the Vodacom fibre telling me how wonderful it is in the area, that capacity exist and asking me if i'll be interested in joining. So they're knowingly load the system more!
I'll be taking the matter to Icasa and the consumer commission as this is ****************. Watch out potential client, this is how Vodacom fibre operates and they won't care if they meet their contractual requirements and will happily waste your time when you try to resolve the matter. I've had to hold on for 11minutes now again without being able to get through.
