Vodacom Fibre (FTTH) - Installation, Support & Configuration must know's
Beware of vodacom's FTTH installations. When the technicians complete the installation at home does not mean you have connectivity. What they don't tell you is that their backoffice first have to activate and configure your router. There is no way to follow up or call to follow up on a call to action to configure. Any attempt to escalate either written or per call results in the agent or line manager explaining it is a backoffice task. Their only means of communication to their backend office team is per email. This is an extremely tiring and frustrating experience that has left me without connectivity to the internet for 3 days since the installation. Not once was I notified as per request and I still don't have internet access. For business owners please take note that this is a FTTH business account I requested and the reliance of speedy effective support is ignored on every request. You simply cannot plan or rely on the service. I'm forced to now apply elsewhere to have FTTH installed and configured. Hope this advice saves someone the trouble and frustration.
