Vodacom - Fibre Fault – No Updates / No Ability to Escalate

I’m extremely frustrated with the lack of feedback and updates regarding my logged fibre fault. Your SLA states within 24 hours of logging a fault it should be assigned to a technician. I logged a fault on Tuesday 2 Dec 6:00 am That step took the full 24 hours, and after that Vodacom logged a call with MetroFibre. It has now been another 24 hours with no feedback, no progress update, and no indication of expected resolution time. When I phoned Vodacom for an update, I was told: They cannot provide any information on the status or progress, They are unable to escalate the ticket, and There was no attempt to assist with even basic information such as next steps, timelines, or ownership. I specifically requested escalation and was told this isn’t possible. I was also told they could “request team leader David to attend to it,” but there has still been no feedback. At this point it feels like the fault has disappeared into a rabbit hole. As a paying customer, I expect: -Clear status updates, -A realistic ETA -Confirmation of who is responsible (Vodacom vs MetroFibre), -And a clear escalation path when SLAs are missed. I am tired of hearing “it’s in our timeline” and “it’s in process” without any meaningful information.
