Vodacom Fibre

During my past few years that I've been a client with vodacom, I've never really had serious issues or bad service with them. This changed last month of March when I got my bill, previously I took a 200G contract which would last me until around the 23/24th of every month [the day data]. When I finished with that contract, I wanted to cancel my account with them but the guy convinced me to stay, suggesting that I should rather go R85 airtime data up until maybe I might need to go back to data again and I agreed. Few months after, I took a data contract and it canceled the one of airtime.

The contract data that I took now recently in December, they were giving me 400G of which 200G was for day and other 200G for night but surprisingly it didn't even last to the 15th of each month and every month I'd call and complain, and also I was monitoring my data usage on the voda app but nothing changed or improved. I then saw their special for Wi-Fi, mind you it's vodacom Wi-Fi and the difference between it and the data was just R50 and I made enquiries about it since well I thought it was going to be the end of my frustration. The consultant who assisted me told me that if I take Wi-Fi, it will automatically cancel the data contract, I won't be having 2 contracts or paying for those two separate data options and I agreed to take the Wi-Fi. Last month I did not receive the monthly statement, when I got on the app, I found it confusing that's when I took the phone to make enquiries, only to find out that the lady who assisted me did not do her job to say go cancel that data contract first or maybe submitting that I took another contract whereby it should automatically cancel that other one. So during my findings, vodacom wants to hold me liable or accountable that should I wish to cancel the data contract, I must pay an early cancelation fee, mind you I only took up this contract December 2025, and Wi-Fi in March 2026 and I am not going to pay for 2 accounts, that one I won't do it because someone didn't do her job properly. And what irritates and frustrates me the most is that I did calls three consecutive days and I was taken from pillar to post without any solution, so I don't know, they must come with a solution that can work for us both.
