Vodacom fibre

I signed up for Vodacom fibre when it went live in my area, and maybe i should have believed all the negative reviews. No, i chose to give Vodacom a chance at redemption....

Firstly i had to wait 3 weeks for installation, that was 3 appointments which never happened and needless to say you are never kept updated. The call centre is forever offline or needs to ask another department for help.

Installation finally happens, but now the installer says the signal is too low for him to activate, he would need to request that a vodacom tech comes out. Its been 2 and a half weeks since then and vodacom is a no show. Service requests are opened and they then disappear into the black hole known as customer service.

To top all that off, they charge me .....for what????? i dont have access to fibre !!! what are you charging me for????

I call the call centre and i get "our systems are offline so i cant tell you why we have charged you"

Vodacom your service is turning out to be ****

Dear Vodacom

Yes i have been contacted by Warren, thank you.

However there is still the issue of Vodacom selling a fibre service, when it is not yet active.
I was deceived by the Vodacom sales department, i was led to believe that fibre was active and that after a few days installation would take place and i would be enjoying the benefits.

Its over a month later and i am still awaiting activation of the fibre service, the installation guys say "this is an MDU, awaiting Fibre work back to the OLT". This apparently is the technical definition of "there is no power at you residence for the fibre to be activated".

The entire service request (SR) functionality should be abandoned by Vodacom, as there is never any meaningful feedback from them. Apart from Warren addressing the billing issue, not a single call was received to re-assure me that they are working on resolving this issue.

Vodacom, your sales pitch was based on lies.

So whilst waiting for Vodacom to credit me the R398 that they debited last month, for not providing me an active fibre line, they do one better this month and debit R757 for....not providing an active fibre line.

And still nobody from Vodacom bothers to call me and help resolve this issue.
As for the fibre line, i doubt thats going to happen anytime soon.
