Vodacom fibre double billing

Does not even deserve one star.

Signed up for fibre last year. When I received my first billed I got charged for the “free” interim LTE. Supposed to be R599 but over R2k went off my account. Spent hours on the phone letting them know about the invoice that I’ve received. As the debit order date drew closer, the consultant literally told me that there’s nothing they can do. The money will be taken from my account. The debit order has already been sent to the bank. Thereafter I spent more hours on the phone begging for my refund, which I eventually got a few weeks later. Furthermore, for the past 5 months they have been double billing me. So I am paying for the router and the fibre line. The same router that came with the fibre service as “free”. There is no one that can assist you. Every time you phone, it’s like you’re starting the whole process all over again. Naturally, they opt to credit me after literally *****ing from my account. A credit will never be equivalent to the money that you took from me this month. That credit is only app**** for the following month. So it just makes your life very difficult, cos you’re short. 01 March I was billed double as well as 01 April. We decided to cancel because we cannot afford their billing errors. I am still awaiting refunds for both months. They sent me an email with an updated account statement which shows that I will be debited R217 (they themselves decided to credit me even after the countless calls stating I want a refund) on 01 April, yet R1516 still went off my account.

Vodacom needs better engineers to work on their systems cos billing errors are serious and should be addressed. Also, the call centre agents are confused and misinformed. Everyone has a different idea of what their policies regard.
