Vodacom Fibre Division Closed

Logged a call via email on 26 Feb 2019 to Vodacom Fibre to find out what my reasonable cancellation fee is. Today is 1 March 2019 and still no response from Vodacom even after getting a response they will contact me. Maybe they are too busy with the "call me" case.

The contract states you have to pay ALL of the outstanding premiums which I know is not permitted by the National Credit Act and Consumer Protection Act. A reasonable cancellation fee is allowed.

The reason why I want to cancel? The Fair Use Policy. We never used even 150GB per month on Telkom ADSL and yet now we use 500GB on Vodacom. Vodacom can not provide me with log files to state which ip addresses used how much either so its all thumb suck. No access to my router either to see if it was hacked. Vodacom gives you "temp" access for 24 hours but I'm paying for the router but I do not get the full access.

Vodacom's FUP downgrade me from 10mbps to 2mbps. Yes 5 times slower than normal but I am forced to pay the higher cost. ICASA needs to review this as why are we paying a higher premium for something slower without Vodacom being able to provide the log files as proof.

Hi, Thank you for sending me the quote. Problem is that it is not ALIGNED to the Consumer Protection Act as Vodacom is not allowed to charge the full "buy out" premium for the remainder of the contract as the "reasonable cancellation fee" as prescribed by the CPA. If this remains unresolved and I can see many customers are fooled into paying a full contract when its *******, I will refer to the CPA and ICASA as ICASA needs to be made aware of Vodacom's practices
