Vodacom Fibre Cancellation Theft
We moved out of our flat and had to cancel our fibre line. We called customer service and were told to wait for a cancellation form email. That did not arrive and 4 phone calls later we finally received one which was filled in ASAP.
Nothing changed and a month later we got an invoice again. This time when we called we were asked to call the legal department and sort the issue out. Of course legal could not help us either.
We called for about the 9th time now and spoke to a manager named Eugene. Eugene promised that invoicing would stop. INSTEAD we now have an automatic stop order billing our bank account for R750 each month. Vodacom are basically now *****ing our money.
If this reaches vodacom I would ask that they prepare the recordings of all teh calls we have made and I thin it is time to take this matter to the relevant bodies because if we stop paying then we end up black listed. I am pretty sure that this has broken many laws with regards to the CPA.
"b) Right to renew or cancel a fixed term agreement:" is a prime example.
