Vodacom Fibre - cancellation nightmare
Cancellation nightmare - if you plan on cancelling with Vodacom Fibre you are in for a nightmare.
On 18 May I phoned and logged a request to have my Vodacom Fibre cancelled as at midnight 30 June. On 1 July around 7 am my internet connection was terminated. I made numerous calls and sent emails to ensure that Vodacom give instruction to Frogfoot to have the line released as I have signed up with another CSP. As at this morning Frogfoot have still not received the request from Vodacom to release the line. Yesterday I phoned Vodacom who promised they would look into and get back to. Last night I sent an email giving them until 9h30 today to get back to me with suitable feedback. This morning around 8h30 Vodacom phoned me and the lady on the line confirmed that the request was sent though to release the line. Later I got confirmation from Frogfoot that they still have not received the request from Vodacom. My new CSP can not do anything until the line has been released. I contacted Vodacom once again today - the guy I spoke to could not find any request for the line to be released. He said he was emailing the team responsible for releasing lines to find out what is happening. He promised to get back to me before close of business today and stated that it would be before 5 pm. I warned him that if I do not get the feedback as promised I would be posting on Hellopeter and will resort to whatever social media platform is necessary.
To no surprise - no word from him or anyone at Vodacom.
It is a week after the cancellation was to have been done and I am still waiting for Vodacom to have the line released. Watch this space - I bet I will also be billed at the end of the month with a pro rata amount.
Come Vodacom - get your damn act together!
