Vodacom Fibre

I had a internet Fibre with Vodacom. I was on a month to month contract. I had to relocate to a new apartment in a complete different ieghbourhood, I contacted thier relocation department and I was made aware that there was no coverage to where I was relocating to.

I then tried to transfer ownership to a family friend, he was declined due to have only started a new job two months prior.

I made a decision to cancel the contract as it was no use to me anymore, I could not use the service. I sent an email to cancel.

Fast forward to now, I am being told that my contract was never cancelled and that it has accumulated interest. I forwarded the cancelation email. The consultant told me that they never received it yet the recipient is Vodacom and I had responded to the last email they sent me.

I don't understand how it's fair that they were billing me for a service I was using especially cause it was a month to month contract, that happens to be usually more expensive compared to 12, 24 or 36 moths contract.
