Vodacom Fibre: Beyond ***********

I moved to Witbank (Emalahleni) at the start of 2019 and as I am working remotely my company offered to pay to have Vodacom fibre installed in my home. Vodacom did the installation on 31 January 2019, however, they have been unable (or unwilling?) to configure the router in the 6 weeks since then; as a result I have no internet.

I have been calling the call centre up to 3 times per day during this period, but they were of no assistance at all. All I received was empty promises and an unwillingness to actually escalate my issue to anyone in senior management. Eventually, my company heard from Vodacom that they were going to reinstall my fibre to supposedly overcome the issue. This happened on Wednesday, 13 March 2019 and I am now in exactly the same position - Vodacom haven't remotely configured my new router either. The technician who did the reinstall was unable to do anything and getting in touch with a "supervisor" in the call centre who supposedly emailed the back office directly to urgently configure my router has yielded no results.

I am beyond disgusted with the incompetence of Vodacom; before this year I would never have believed a company could be so useless. I have resorted to buying mobile data in the interim to do my work; this is expensive and the speeds are slow. In addition, I have wasted many hours contacting Vodacom's call centre (which seems to be incapable of actually doing anything - why even waste the money on having a call centre?) which would have otherwise been used for productive work.

Please contact me - I consider 3 working days not to be in "due course" considering the 6 weeks I've already waited. Businesses with automated responses with zero further follow up should be measured on hellopeter so that ***********s like Vodacom can stop pretending that they actually listen and respond to any problems their customers have.
