Vodacom Fibre bad contract transfer and cancellations
Terrible service from Vodacom Fibre. I have had a terrible few experiences with the Vodacom fibre team over the last few months. 1. I recently got divorced and had to take over the fibre contract from my ex husband, in this process I had to relocate due to safety issues. Firstly Vodacom sent my relocation information to my ex-husband who then called to harass me and now had my details of my new location. 2. After various attempts, these details were changed and the contract moved onto my name and my location changed. I was promised a transfer but was not made aware that with the transfer that this would now be a new 24 month contract from my move date which was in Jan 2024. 3. I was told that I could call into the contact centre and cancel my contract with 30 days notice once I have purchased my new property. I have done so now and called the call centre last month to cancel and was told again it was a 30 days notice period. 4. I called today and was told that I would need to pay the rest of the contract cost and that a 30 days notice was not all that was needed. 5. I will be taking over the contract from the owner of my new property and therefore would be liable there as well as with Vodacom.
I have spoken to Lavashnee who has logged a call for me Ref Number: SR*** to have the cancellation fee waived.
I am terribly disappointed in the service that I have received and that firstly my personal details were being shared, secondly that I wasnt made aware that was entering into a new 24 month contract with my move, per the lease with my ex-husband the contract ended in September 2024 which was my understanding, thirdly, I was told by a few agents that I would need to call only 30 days prior to cancel.
Please can my contract be cancelled and the cancellation fee be waived.
