Vodacom Fibre absolute worst experience ever
I have been trying for more than a week now to get my fibre line activated. The fiber line was installed, no problem, but since then I have consistently had to phone them every day to find out when my fiber line would get activated.
Every time I would have to explain the situation from scratch, that I just need my fibre line activated and that Afrihost is my ISP and Vodacom is the infrastructure provider.
I cancelled my first order and decided to go through Afrihost who then opened a second order for a fibre line. Simple right? Wrong. This has been such a challenge for them to understand and work around.
Every single time the call would be logged to their fibre department, who would then summarily do nothing once they saw the first cancelled order.
Every single time I would phone back, explain to them that yes, I still need a fiber line, and I would provide them with the Afrihost reference number. And then nothing. Over and over and over.
I have requested that this get escalated, and nothing happens. I am promised emails with confirmation, then nothing. I literally have no recourse left, how am I supposed to get the line activated for use??
Im not the best at math but if one order is cancelled and another is created it still requires honouring the remaining order or am I wrong?
Irrespective I have grown tired of having to explain this over and over again (Confirm with Afrihost if you wish: svq-***7)
As a result I have cancelled my contract with Afrihost and I am forced to create a new NEW order so that I can actually get some fiber at my home. If a small issue such as a previously cancelled order throws this big of a wrench in your organisations workings then you have big problems.
This is now the third order I have placed. Please, please ensure that your team isnt confused by that first order that was cancelled.
