Vodacom Fibre
My Fibre line went down on Tuesday 16 May 2023. I called Vodacom Fibre to log a ticket. I was told there is a Metro Fibre outage in our area and the Technicians are working on it. No ticket was log thus no reference. Maybe my mistake. I kept on following up with Vodacom Fibre just to be told the same story. One of the call centre ladies told me that Metro Fibre has up to 48 hours to restore the service. In the meantime my Internet is down and I work online. I have to use my phone as a hotspot to connect. With data prices it is costing me. I kept on following up just to be told the same story of the technician is working on it. Went into day 2 without Internet. Phoned Vodacom Fibre call centre. Every time I have to tell the same story. I chatted to a guy who told that the service was restored and that I now have to log a different ticket and it will take 72 hours. I lost it. My internet line being down is linked to the outage. I also chatted to Metro Fibre on WhatsApp who also told me the service was restored. Later they came back and said although the service was restored some parts in our area are still down. Late on 18 May 2023 Metro Fibre logged a call. I was also promised that it will be resolved by COB 18 May. It is now the third day without Internet. Vodacom and Metro Fibre care less dor their customers. I need to follow up. No feedback from Vodacom or Metro Fibre. Vodacom: SR*** 294108 NoReply(2-VMDLWGR). Metro Fibre 294423. After querying with Vodacom Fibre the fact that I am paying a set fee for the fibre service which means I am paying for a service that I do not receive. I was told that only if I request for credit Vodacom will look into a possible credit. Again the customer need to apply for credit. It is day 3 without Internet.
