Vodacom Fibre, 1 year later, still no service
In June of 2018 I had fibre installed at my house via Vumatel on a Vodacom package. A month later I received a sales order from Vodacom claiming that the order is completed and that I will receive my router. The service was never activated and I never received a my router. On 23 August I requested the service to be terminated seeing that nothing happed during the 2 months that past. After numerous attempts to cancel the service, I finally received a notice on the 15th of November confirming that my service was canceled. In January of this year I ordered fibre from a different provider and the day they wanted to activate it, they said that Vodacom still hasn't cancelled my service and therefore they can not go ahead with activating my internet. After contacting Vodacom once again on the 16th of January, I was informed that the cancelation never went through and now in order to cancel it a new sales order needs to be created, and then it can be cancelled. It's now been more than a week and after trying to contact them to receive an update on the situation, I can't get through to any customer service operators. So for almost a year now I've been struggling to get any type of service from Vodacom. I've never received this level of pathetic service from a provider and I would like this issue to be resolved immediately.
